Install Nami

Nami runs on macOS 13 or later. It is one download, and there is nothing else to set up.

Get the right build

Most Macs made since 2020 need the Apple silicon build. Older ones need the Intel build. Not sure which you have? Click the apple in the top left of your screen, then About This Mac. If it says M1, M2, M3 or M4, take Apple silicon.

Three steps

  1. Download Nami.
  2. Open it and drag Nami into Applications. The window that opens shows you exactly where to drop it.
  3. Open Nami from Applications. It lands on the glass desk, empty, waiting for a folder.

Every build is signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens straight away with no security warning. If macOS ever says the app cannot be opened, you have a copy from somewhere other than our releases page. Delete it and download it again.

Updates

When a new version is out, Nami tells you in the top bar. Click download, then quit and open Nami again. Your folders, sessions and settings carry over. A failed download never replaces a working app.

Windows is coming. Nami is Mac only today, and there is no beta to join yet.
