Describe an agent, get an agent

An agent is a job description you keep. Instead of typing the same three paragraphs every Monday, write it down once and call it by name after that.

Make one

Press ⌘K, then New agent, and describe it in plain words:

You read invoices and pull out vendor, date, amount and due date. You always ask before writing a file. If a number is unclear, leave it blank and tell me.

The Nami new agent sheet with a job description typed into it in plain English — No format to learn. You describe the job.

It asks you back about anything it needs to pin down, then writes itself out and lands on your shelf, ready to pick in the who runs it row of any new session.

The finished agent file sitting in the Nami library, inside the folder’s .claude directory — It is a plain text file in your folder. You can read it, edit it, and send it to somebody else.

Skills

A skill is smaller. It is one thing, done a set way: how you like a summary written, the format your quotes take. Nami makes a skill available to every agent you run, not just the one that made it.

Agents and skills both live in your folder, in .claude.

The best first one to make is the twelfth of the twelve examples: something you already do by hand every week, written down once.
