What stays on your Mac

Nami is a desktop app with no server behind it. Here is exactly what that means.

Five plain facts

• One folder. A session can only reach the folder you opened.
• No account. There is no sign up, no login, and no Nami server for anything to be sent to.
• No tracking. Nami has no analytics of any kind, and is not getting any.
• Dictation is local. The speech model runs on your Mac, so the microphone works on a fresh install with no account, no key and no internet.
• Your keys are yours. Anything you type into Settings is saved in a file on that Mac only. Nothing syncs anywhere.

What does leave

The agent you picked talks to its own company, exactly as it does in its own app. Claude Code talks to Anthropic. Codex talks to OpenAI. Antigravity talks to Google. That is their privacy policy, not ours, and each one is linked from Which should I pick.

Nami itself checks GitHub once for a new version. That is the only network call the app makes on its own.
